Why should
youngsters respect Elders?
Moved
by the above question I saw in Quora, which I could not initially answer
myself, I asked my friends in a Seniors’ Group (sss-global, closed group). Their
replies are summarized below. This goes to prove two brains are better than
one! I thank all my friends for participation.

feel good to see a happy expression on the face of elderly.

your parents in them and feel happy.

What you give to the world comes back. Better give respect to all especially the elderly so that when you age and badly crave for it, you may get something in return.

There are 2 types of
social structures:
(1) Hierarchy structure
- Bosses, Elders, Learned, Rich, Powerful etc are respected.
(2) Democracy structure
- All humans are almost equal, meritorious are respected.
Although (2) seems
better, both have their merits and demerits.
As per (1), elders have
to be respected.
