Poem - Homonym - Yard - mark
Unmentionable
A lady avoided attending a party
As she was uncomfortable due to periods.
It was an unmentionable excuse, of course.
And a condition in which her unmentionable (=undergarment)
was indeed a soiled brief.
========
YARD
You know that
a YARD is 36 inches
But
Do you know that
a man's YARD
could be mostly
3 to 6 inches
only?
=======
Mark
He drew a sketch of a voluptuous girl
Taking special efforts to
Mark her titillating belly button.
The teacher gave marks – 100/100 saying
You will make a mark as a great artist.

Car AC Mechanic Workshop
Car AC Mechanic Workshop
One Car AC Mechanic shop has come up in my neighbourhood, on my
walking route. It is just about six months old, occupying a large
space. I was wondering how he could afford such a spacious plot in our
costly area. I see at any point of time, some 8 to 10 cars – all AC
cars - waiting to be serviced. The cars are different every time I see
which proves that he is having a good business. Maybe he is quite good
at his work and word of mouth publicity by his customers might have
helped him grow his business.
The array of cars stationed there shows that there are rich people
around. And counting the failed cars, should I also guess that the
quality of cars has come down? Or, is it because we are in summer? I
do not know the automobile industry and any guess might go wrong.
Looking at the name board made me think of specialisations. Not just a
mechanic or car mechanic but a CAR – AC mechanic. Like among lawyers
and doctors, specialisation has crept into every field.
The other day I saw a name board for a car mechanic shop – XYZ
Dentist. He is an expert in attending to dents on the surface of cars.
The guy must be either a fun loving humourist or poor in English or
both.
Do you think my observations are correct?
