Discussion on Home Health Care by MVRuparela and Sugan Bhatia et al
In this connection the role of Family Physician or Generic medical practitioner (who seems to have almost disappeared) must be brought to the foreground. Most simple disorders must be treated without costly diagnostic tests or hospitalization or reference to specialists. Family Physician must be trained, as in the past, to diagnose without help of gadgets / tests and he must freed of unnecessary litigation as obtaining in the west. Mobile Medical Units are a must to reach rural poor. Every district must be provided with an MMU under NPHCE.
