Inauguration of Senior Citizens Home in Mahabubnagar

Inauguration of Senior Citizens Home in Mahabubnagar

On Sunday 25th October 2015, along with Sri Rajendra Rao, Sri IVLN Chary and Sri A Suryanarayana, I participated in inaugural function of a new old age home in Mahabubnagar. It is Vayojana Saphalaya Nilayam (Senior Citizens Rehabilitation Center) set up by Ramakrishna Seva Trust in the Oblaipally Village. Nearly 120 people participated. Sri Shthikanthananda Swamy and Sri Bhithiharananda swamy of Sri Ramakrishna Mutt were chief guests.  The trust has about twenty trustees – our Smt Pushpalatha Yelisetty is one of them. She donated Rs 10 Lakhs.

There was Vastu Puja, Satyanarayana Punja, felicitation of dignitaries etc. An hour long meeting with nearly ten speakers was held, after Puja and distribution of  Prasadam and Theertham. Several persons were honored with shawl and garlands including Dr Vyasamoorthy. He delivered a short speech in Telugu. All participants were given breakfast and lunch.

The old age home has 18 double rooms. Ground floor is now complete; plans are afoot for two more floors of similar capacity. Rooms are spacious, well lighted, well ventilated.  The trust has arranged a free medical consultancy by leading specialists in almost all fields in the OAH premises once a week on Sundays. Routine operations of the home will start in a couple of months. An indication that an advance of Rs 10000/- and a monthly charge of Rs 4000 per head is envisaged for occupants of OAH.
