Bari MLA Debasis Nayak disbursed widow and old age pension, along with houses under Indira Awas Yojana, to many beneficiaries in a meeting at Bari block in Jajpur district on Wednesday. Addressing the meeting, Nayak said that Chief Minister Naveen Patnaik has decided to provide pension to an additional three lakh widows in the State. All the old, widows and handicapped persons will get `500 each per month under the schemes of the Government.

The Mo Kudia scheme has been launched to provide houses to 10 lakh poor families, who would be deprived of the same benefit coming under BPL in the State. All the landless persons of the district will get houses under Mo Kudia scheme within a year, said Nayak.

The MLA disbursed pensions to 290 widows, 435 old persons and houses under Indira Awas Yojana to 435 persons. Vice-chairman of Bari block Ashok Kumar Samal, Bari BDO Mahendra Mohanty and others were present.
